Mr. Jim Nedland
Mr. James E. Nedland is a Supervisory Management Specialist for the Marine Corps Intelligence
Activity (MCIA), where he serves as the Command Deputy.
Mr. Nedland's previous assignments at MCIA include Electronic Warfare analyst, Southeast Asia Branch Head, Analysis Division Head, Deputy of the Office of Analysis and Production, Identity Intelligence Staff Officer, and Current Operations Officer.
Mr. Nedland is a retired Master Gunnery Sergeant, having served 24 years in the Signals Intelligence/Ground Electronic Warfare field. His assignments included a variety of tactical, operational, strategic, joint, and independent duties, to include Radio Battalion, Marine Cryptologic Support Battalion, U.S. Embassy Bangkok, Marine Forces Pacific, Marine Corps Combat Development Command, and the National Security Agency.
Mr. Nedland holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Diplomacy and Military Studies from Hawaii
Pacific University, a Master of Strategic Intelligence degree from American Military University, a Master of Military Studies degree from Marine Corps University, a Master of Strategic Studies degree from Marine Corps University, and a Master of Arts in International Relations degree from Webster University. Mr. Nedland is a graduate of the Defense Language Institute with certificates in Tagalog, Vietnamese, and Thai.
